A medical device company built around fluid control
We are not a distributor and we do not white-label. Our value is taking one engineering problem far enough that it can be manufactured, validated, and written into a regulatory file.
Company
Fonming Co., Ltd. was founded in 2025 and is resident at the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University startup accelerator in Hsinchu. Our core technology is precision fluid control for surgical applications.
We started from a specific clinical handling problem: inside the confined space of a laparoscopic field, how does liquid leave an instrument evenly, controllably, and repeatably? That question led us into porous materials — UHMWPE pore size distribution, differential pressure behaviour, lot-to-lot variation, and how that variation is measured and controlled. The same capability later carried into a second line: mold forming and drying for dissolving microneedle patches.
We deliberately stay small and deep. Core technology stays in house, everything else goes to specialist partners, and every external relationship runs through a formal supplier management process.
What we hold to
- An engineering problem is solved when it is measurable and controllable, not when it demos well.
- Regulation is a design input, not paperwork bolted on at the end.
- Being honest with suppliers about development stage beats inflating volumes.
