Fonming builds minimally invasive surgical instruments and transdermal delivery platforms on two core capabilities: porous-material fluid control and metered delivery. We are a medical device R&D company in Hsinchu, Taiwan, resident at the NYCU startup accelerator.
Fluid has to cross a porous medium, be metered, and be released precisely inside a confined space. Both of our programs are answers to that same problem.
Design verification
Laparoscopic spray delivery system
An instrument delivery system for gynecological minimally invasive surgery. A closed-loop gas circuit drives liquid through a porous UHMWPE wall to produce distributed output. Registration follows a split strategy: the reusable pump unit and the single-use sterile consumable set are filed separately.

Prototype & formulation
Dissolving microneedle patch platform
A microstructured patch platform built on water-soluble polymers, covering mold forming, the drying process, and a dedicated applicator. The platform can be adapted to a partner's active ingredients. Indication is still under evaluation.

Quality & regulatory
We know how this industry works
For a supplier, whether a customer understands regulation determines the cost of working together. Here is what we have built and what we are building.
Quality management system
ISO 13485 implementation underway, covering document control, design control, and CAPA.
Supplier management
User requirement specifications, supplier qualification, critical component control, and verification that supplier ISO 13485 certificates actually cover the relevant scope.
Inspection & sterilization
Incoming inspection SOPs with statistical process control, ISO 2859-1 sampling, ISO 11135 EO sterilization validation, and ISO 10993 biocompatibility planning.
